Back to School Garland

Whip up this easy back to school decoration for less than $3!

Create this super-cute garland for a back to school themed party, for less than $3 (if you already have the double-sided tape)!  You don’t have to stick with just letters, use numbers, shapes, addition and subtraction flashcards, mix and match. the choice is yours!  Right now at Target there are a bunch of sets of flashcards in the $1 isle, so take advantage the right price and make this craft for your little one’s back to school party.  Not planning a party?  Surprise your tyke on their first day of school with a special back-to-school pancake breakfast and hang this up for a motivating and seasonally-appropriate decoration!

Materials:

All you need is a spool of ribbon (I used one from Michael’s, that cost me $1.50) and a deck of alphabet flashcards (I got mine from Target for $1), and some double-sided tape (I always have this on hand, it is my best friend for crafting!).

Directions:

Choose the order of your flash cards.  Lay out you ribbon and tape the top side of your flashcards with your double-sided tape.  Arrange the flashcards an equal distance apart.  Hang the garland and enjoy your thrifty-craftiness handiwork
